James represents businesses and Alabama public entities in litigation and provides transactional advice and regulatory guidance in a variety of matters. As outside general counsel to a number of clients, his practice primarily focuses on contract negotiations and disputes, general and complex civil litigation, corporate governance, public procurement, and administrative matters involving federal, state, and local agencies. He also advises clients on matters related to labor & employment and strategies for business development. James regularly represents municipal corporations as well as private businesses in the industries of construction, multi-family housing, professional services, retail & distribution, gaming, and manufacturing.
